    DTB's Share Price Hits Four-Year High, Uchumi Surges Again as Co-op Leads Friday's Midday Turnover

    Co-op Bank traded at a new high of KSh 25.20 on Friday, leading volume and turnover. Uchumi hit KSh 0.48 and DTB reached KSh 118.00, its highest since 2020. Foreign buys were KSh 14.166 million against KSh 14.998 million sells. Kapchorua posted a 422 percent profit rise, while Williamson Tea cut its loss. NASI was slightly higher at midday.

    Kapchorua Earnings Jump 422%, Williamson Narrows Loss in H1 2025

    Kapchorua Tea reported stronger H1 earnings with profit up 422 percent to KSh 95.2M as turnover fell 24 percent to KSh 829.9M. Williamson Tea cut its loss to KSh 10.1M from KSh 122.4M, with revenue down 14.8 percent to KSh 1.69B. Both tea giants faced weaker prices, high costs and lower demand. Kapchorua improved margins and cash, while Williamson narrowed losses but stayed negative.

    Co-op Bank Hits KSh 25.00 on Q3 Results; Uchumi at Five-Year High

    Co-op Bank hit KSh 25.00 on Thursday after reporting a 12 percent YoY profit rise and declaring its first interim dividend. Uchumi traded at KSh 0.44, its highest since 2019. Safaricom led turnover with KSh 280 million of the KSh 638 million at midday. Foreign activity showed 64 million in buys and 226 million in sells. NASI slipped 0.15 percent.
