Zambian fintech and neobank Lupiya has appointed Network as its digital payments technology partner to launch a new debit card, the company said in a statement.
- The debit card is e-commerce enabled, 3D Secure and tokenization.
- Founded by Evelyn Chilomo Kaingu and Muchu Kaingu, Lupiya offers micro loans to underserved populations.
- Network will provide a comprehensive suite of card payment processing solutions throughout the entire lifecycle of the card.
Lupiya’s solution is meant to serve about a third of Zambia’s population that remains financially excluded. Although the levels of financial inclusion have improved in the last decade, there are other issues including a gender finance gap.
