Technology firm Ockam has secured $4.9 million in seed funding. With the funding, the firm will, therefore, be able to make it easier for developers to make their IoT apps more secure.
Investors who took place in the funding include Core Ventures, Okta Ventures, SGH Capital, and Future Ventures.
According to the firm, they will use the funding to build more scalable connected and more secure systems. This will be achieved by the implementation of cryptographic keys and assignment of credentials to different entities.
As reported by TechCrunch, Ockam raised its seed funding over two tranches. These included a $3.2 million round that closed in May and an additional $1.7 million injection from Future Ventures in more recent weeks.
