Posta Kenya Launches Digital Post Services

Posta Kenya in partnership with Safaricom has launched a digital postal service targeting more than 5 million customers countrywide.

In this case, Posta will leverage on increased digitization and growth in online delivery of goods and services. Moreover, Posta will rely on its logistical capability and the post office branch network.

Posta has 625 Postal outlets spread across the country while Safaricom enjoys 34 million customers.

Customers will part with Ksh300 every month to get their products in any post office of their choice.

The growth in e-commerce has seen firms such as Alibaba and Amazon setting up in Kenya.

For instance, data from Posta Kenya shows that Alibaba’s AliExpress accounts for more than 62 per cent of the deliveries.

Safaricom customers can visit mpost.co.ke or dial *234# to register for a digital postal box linked to their mobile number.
