Former CEO of the National Oil Corporation of Kenya & campaign adviser and fundraiser for Ms Karua’s presidential bid in 2013 Ms Mary M’Mukindia has resigned from the board of NSE-listed flour miller Unga Group Limited effective 15th April 2016. No reason was given by the company in regards to her resignation.
Ms Mary M’Mukindia who also sits in the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) Board resigns at a time when she has been accused that she accepted bribes to influence the award of a multibillion- shilling tender at the tax agency. She is accused of receiving a Ksh 7.5 million bribe from (BAT) that she allegedly passed on to former Justice minister and currently opposition politician Martha Karua. The bribe was meant to influence the award of an excise tax stamps supply tender by the KRA.

She also serves as a Board Member in various institutions including GT Bank Kenya, East African Packaging Industries Ltd, Chairs the Jacranda Hotels in Kenya. She also serves as consult for UK oil company Tullow.
