Kenya Airways Marketing Director, Chris Diaz has handed his resignation letter and will leave the Airline in Mid March.
“I recently received the resignation of Chris Diaz, our marketing director. Over the last four years with KQ, Chriz has led important change projects in the company’s marketing strategy and successfully positioned KQ as the “Pride Of Africa”. Read a memo sent to KQ staff from CEO Mbuvi Ngunze.
“Chris is leaving to take up a new opportunity outside KQ but he will stay with us till Mid-march to ensure a smooth transition.” He announced.

The Airline also reorganised its Marketing Department in two parts: Corporate Communication, CSR, Events and Sponsoring all to be combined with Government and Industry Affairs(Currently in Commercial) and will be led by a Head of External Affairs, Regulatory and Communication.
Corporate Brand, Advertising and Field Marketing, as well as CRM and customer relations will now report to Vincent Coste, the firm’s Commercial Director. Jacquie Muhati will be the Head of Marketing while Julia Mandu will hold the position of Manager – CRM and Customer Relations both reporting to Vincent.
Chris Diaz Resignation comes less than a week after KLM’s Pieter Elbers resigned from the airline’s board citing heavy responsibilities and additional commitments as the President and CEO of KLM.
