    BAT Kenya Finance Director Phillip Lopokoiyit Resigns

    British American Tobbacco (BAT) Kenya has announced the resignation of the company’s Finance Director Mr Phillip Lopokoiyit with effect from 1st May 2017.

    “Mr Lopokoiyit has communicated his desire to pursue other interests and opportunities outside of the Group. He will however remain with BATK for a period of time to ensure a smooth transition to his successor” The company said in a statement.

    Mr Phillip has been a board member of BAT Kenya since November 2010 and also held the role of Area Finance Director for East and Central Africa. During his career with BAT, he held various senior roles including, Finance Director BATK and Head of Finance East Africa Community in 2004 and mid 2006 and Finance Director BAT West Africa based in Lagos Nigeria prior to his current role.

    Mr Philip is also a non executive director at the Board of NSE listed CIC Insurance Group.
