    Interswitch expands its ‘VERVE’ payment network to 12 Kenyan Banks

    Interswitch Group has announced that 12 Banks in Kenya have signed with ‘Verve International,’ the company’s payment solution which allows customers to make payments across the lenders’ network in over 3,000 point of sale terminals, 1,300 ATMs and 12,000 agency banking outlets.

    The Banks include; KCB Group, Family Bank, Sidian Bank, Prime Bank, Stanbic, UBA, Credit Bank, GT Bank, DTB, NBK, Faulu and NIC. This network links together channels (Mobile, Merchants, ATMs & Agents) from the leading Kenyan banks and is operated by Verve’s parent company, Interswitch Group.

    Verve is a Pan-African payment scheme that is rapidly expanding issuance and acceptance across the African continent.  Verve is accepted in 19 African countries, issued by 40 banks and has more than 32 million digital payment tokens and cards in circulation.
