KRA Introduces New Tax Payment and Reporting Controls
The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) has introduced an Automated Payment Plan (APP) aimed at having taxpayers clear outstanding liabilities, covering tax, penalties, and interest, through installments of up to six months. Starting January 2026, KRA will also begin validating income and expense declarations in tax returns against TIMS/eTIMS invoices, withholding tax data, and customs records.
