-Uchumi Supermarkets swung to a loss after tax of 3.2 billion shillings ($31.37 million) for its year ended June from a profit of 491 million shillings in the previous period. Uchumi lost 9.94% to close at KES 7.25

FAHARI I-REIT
The Fahari I-Reit lost 9.47% to close at 21.50. This follows after IFC reduced their investment to avoid breaching its rules after poor market response to the issue. The investment rules of the World Bank’s private financing arm do not allow the institution to own more than one fifth in such ventures.
