    WPP Scangroup to sell 60 percent stake in Kantur business

    WPP Scangroup plc has recently issued an announcement in relation to the proposed sale of its Kantur business in Africa which includes an 80% shareholding in Kantur TNS and a 100% shareholding in Kantur Millard Brown.

    The shareholders of WPP Scangroup plc are advised that WPP plc, Scangroup majority shareholder has entered into an agreement to sell 60% of its shareholding in Kantar, its global data, research, consulting and analytics business to Bain Capital under existing agreements in place with WPP plc.

    The completion of the transaction is subject to receipt of various approvals and ongoing discussions with stakeholders, the final announcements in relation to the transaction will be made at the appropriate time. The WPP Plc shareholders are advised to exercise caution when dealing in the shares of the company until further announcements are made
