WPP ScanGroup Plc Board of Directors has informed the firm’s shareholders that it will delay the publication of audited accounts for the financial year ended 31st December 2020. These results were due on 3Oth April 2021.
“This has been occassioned by ongoing investigations previously announced following management changes at the firm,” said Winnie Jumba, the Company Secretary, in a statement.
The Board told shareholders that it would provide an update for the date of publication of the financial results by 31st May 2021 and when the Annual General Meeting will be held.
WPP Scangroup Board suspended CEO Bharat Thakrar and the Chief Finance Officer, Satyabrata Das, after allegations of gross misconduct and possible offences in their capacity as senior executives.
The Board delegated authority to an interim Chief Operating Officer, Alec Graham.
Graham packs over 25 years of experience in the advertising and communications business, working with various WPP plc groups.
