One of the world’s top heavy construction equipment manufacturers Doosan Infracore, in collaboration with Car and General, its distributor in East Africa, has opened a new equipment and parts distribution Centre in Nairobi.

Located at the Car & General Headquarters on Lusaka Road, the new centre ushers in a generation of advanced equipment in Kenya to benefit its customers and dealers. The modern industrial facility comprises of technical premises as well as repair and service workshops.

The new workshop will help the company to efficiently and conveniently deliver equipment such as excavators that come with mining buckets and reinforced fronts as standard. The workshop, which was opened in late December, is expected to have a positive impact on Doosan’s business in the country.

“As the construction equipment market in Kenya continues to grow, Doosan intends to use this new workshop to drive sales and improve customer support. This will ensure that we are equipped to help our customers meet these future challenges”, said Doosan Infracore vice President Jae Jong Jin.

Car and General Chief Operating Officer David Chesoni said the opening of the new workshop centre implies the two companies’ efforts to provide consistent customer service to dealers and customers in every part of the country. “As Car and General, we are committed to work with our partner Doosan to continuously satisfy the customers’ needs with various supports, including faster distribution of relevant equipment in the market”, he said.

The new workshop forms part of Car & General’s vision of giving better aftermarket services to its already existing clientele. The facility will also contribute to the company’s goal of establishing an efficient equipment and parts delivery network.
