Visa has appointed Eva Ngigi as the new country manager for Kenya effective 9 September 2020. In addition, Eva will serve as the Senior Business Development leader and be part of the East Africa leadership team.
In her new role, she will be tasked with developing and implementing Visa’s growth strategy in Kenya. She will also accelerate the firm’s local growth through identifying critical business opportunities.
Eva has 15 years’ experience in the banking industry having serves in top financial institutions such as CfC Stanbic and Cooperative bank. Her most recent role was Project lead at SC Ventures by Standard Chartered.
At Standard Chartered Eva also served in the transaction-banking department where she rose to be transaction head for the commercial banking segment across East Africa. She developed sales strategy that saw increased client penetration and product capabilities across the bank’s major markets.
Eva holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Management and Marketing Management from Moi University, a master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Nairobi and a postgraduate diploma in Digital Business from EMERITUS and has taken part in the Oxford Fintech Programme.
