US-Africa Business Summit Postponed over COVID-19

The 13th US-Africa Business Summit, initially slated for 9th to 12th June 2020 in Morocco, has been postponed over concerns of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The government of Morocco, in conjunction with the Corporate Council on Africa (CCA), has said they will announce a later date only after they have assessed the situation and ensured the safety of their staff, stakeholders, members, and attendees.

The 13th US-Africa Business Summit sought to bring together more than 2,000 U.S. and African private sector executives, international investors, senior government officials, and multilateral stakeholders. The primary objectives of the summit are:

    • •Network with the vital private sector and government decision-makers
    • •Explore new business opportunities and also meet potential business partners
    • •Engage in critical sectors including agribusiness, energy, health, infrastructure, ICT, and finance

CCA is the leading U.S. business association focused solely on connecting business interests between the United States and Africa. It uniquely represents a broad cross-section of member companies from small and medium-size businesses to multinationals as well as U.S. and African firms.
