Unilever has appointed Nils Andersen as its new chairman. This follows the stepping down of Marijn Dekkers as chairman of the multinational.
Mr Dekkers will remain on the board as a non-executive director.
Nils Andersen has previously served as CEO at Maersk and Carlsberg. He is also part of Unilever’s audit committee and serves as chairman of Dutch paint company, Akzo Nobel.
Unilever is a British-Dutch multinational consumer goods company. Its headquarters are in London, United Kingdom, and Rotterdam, Netherlands. Its products include food and beverages, cleaning agents, beauty products, and personal care products.
It is Europe’s seventh most valuable company and is listed on the London Stock Exchange.
