Nairobi Securities Exchange listed retailer Uchumi Supermarkets has released its half Year results posting a loss after tax of Ksh 547.3 Million from a loss after tax of Ksh1. Billion .
Net sales dropped 67.2% to Ksh 1.4 Billion while cost of sales declined 65.4% to Ksh1.2 Billion.Other income fell 25.5% to Ksh 107.8 Mllion as the company recorded a Ksh 342.4 Million profit on asset disposal.
Total assets declined by 38.3% with non current assets and current assets recording a 35.4% and 50.3% drop to Ksh 3.2 Billion and 590.9 Million respectively.
