    Uchumi, Limuru Tea Lead Tuesday Gains as Foreign Sells Stay Heavy

    Tuesday Midday Market Updates (1:00 PM EAT)

    Uchumi continues its sharp climb.

    The stock trades at KSh 0.57, up 9.62% from yesterday and at its highest level since mid-2019.

    Limuru Tea is also moving firmly higher, touching levels last seen in September 2022.

    Total market turnover stands at KSh 690M by early afternoon.

    Safaricom leads activity at KSh 314M, followed by Equity Bank at KSh 154M and KCB at KSh 96M.

    • •Foreign activity remains sell-heavy. Foreign sells stand at KSh 323M, with Safaricom accounting for KSh 303M, Equity KSh 8M, and KCB KSh 7M.
    • •Foreign buys sit at KSh 35M. KCB leads at KSh 13M, followed by BAT Kenya at KSh 11.7M and DTB at KSh 4M.
    • •Top gainers at midday are Limuru Tea (+9.98%), Uchumi (+9.62%), and Africa Mega (+9.03%).
    • •The main losers are Longhorn (–6.04%), Kakuzi (–3.61%), and EABL (–3.40%).
    • •The NASI is down 0.16% at midday.

    Absa Bank releases its Q3 2025 results: Profit after tax rises 14.7% to KSh 16.9B.

    Operating income edges down 0.4% to KSh 46.56B as net interest income falls 4.6%, offset by an 11.2% rise in non-funded income to KSh 13.61B.
