Uber Kenya will now pick up and drop off passengers from local airports starting August 31, 2020. The taxi company will allow riders to request trips to and from Wilson Airports, Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), and Moi International Airport 24 hours a day.
The changes will allow passengers to get to airports and homes past the curfew hours after Kenya opened its skies for international flights.
“With this effect from August 31 2020, you will be able to request trips to and from JKIA, Wilson Airport and Moi International Airport Mombasa 24 hrs a day. Whether you have a late flight to catch or your flight lands past curfew hours you will be able to access our services,” reads an email from the company.
Customers will be able to request for rides after the 9 pm curfew only if the pickup points or destinations are the three airports. However, they will have a valid plane ticket on their devices or in print.
“While on the trip, please make sure you have with you a valid plane ticket in electronic or printed format.”
