UBA Kenya has appointed Mary Mulili as its new Chief Executive Officer effective 19 January, 2024, subject to regulatory approval.
- If approved, Mulili will be the first female MD/CEO of UBA Kenya.
- A UBA insider, Mulili has worked in the finance sector for the past 15 years.
- She previously worked as the company’s executive director, as GM at Bank of Africa, and Head of Corporate Banking at GTBank Kenya.
Mulili,while acknowledging her appointment said, “Building on UBA Group’s extensive network we are committed to leverage on our presence across 20 African countries and globally in Dubai, UK, US and France to providing bespoke financial solutions for our customers”
“We thank Chike Isiuwe, outgoing Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer for his contribution to the Bank and wish him success as he takes up a new role at UBA Group,” UBA Kenya Board Chairman, Alphan Njeru said.
Elsewhere, Christopher Kulei has assumed the role of Board Chairman for the Kenya Flower Council (KFC) succeeding Richard Fernandes, while Farah Shamji has taken on the position of Vice Chairperson.
“We extend a formal welcome to Karen R. and Ruth Muiruri. Further, we announce the addition of Disha Copreaux, Eddy Verbeek and John Meijer who joined the KFC Board of Directors on Friday, 26th January 2024.”
