Tuskys Set to Launch Electronics Department Store

Tusker Mattresses is set to launch an electronics department store this weekend with the aim of improving its service offers in the premium market category.

The retailer will invest over Sh200 million in this project which entails a ‘shop in shop’ electronics store at all Tuskys Hypermarket outlets in Nairobi, Kisumu, and Mombasa, said the company’s chief executive Dan Githua.

    The Upcoming Stores

The new multi-brand departmental stores will have a variety of premium consumer electronic products and will also offer a state-of-the-art experimental platform. According to the Githua, the experimental platform will allow customers to re-imagine their household electronics shopping experience.

In addition, customers will have the opportunity to interact with products from top electronics manufacturers such as Samsung, Sony, Ramtons, Beko, LG, and Moulinex. The stores will also feature a mini Apple store and beauty products.

The Tuskys lipia pole pole service will be available for purchasing products at the multi-brand department stores.

“As part of the Tuskys Business Development strategy, we are responding to a consumer demand for immersive electronics stores that allow them to experience the products at their optimum performance. At the Tuskys Multi-Brand departmental stores, consumers will be interacting and experiencing the products ranging from OLED display TVs, Hi-fi’s, Cookers, Refrigerators among others allowing them to make informed purchase decisions. This is the future of consumer electronics sales,” Githua said.

In the spirit of the launch, Tuskys is offering its customers 50 per cent off on a range of electronic products and double loyalty points’ redemption.

The Kenya retailer has already opened its first such store at the Tuskys T-mall in Nairobi.
