    Turnover at the NSE rises to KSh 1.44 Billion

    Turnover at the Nairobi Securities Exchange(NSE) climbed up significantly, boosted by heavy foreign investors activity on Equity Bank, to KSh 1.44 Billion. This was on a volume of 44.59 Million shares in 922 deals.


    On Thursday, Equity turnover was KSh 685.81 Million on volume of 25.82 Million in 1,001 deals.


    Equity Bank was the biggest mover, transacting a volume of 28.38 Million at the price of KSh 35.65 followed by Safaricom( 10.56 Million), KCB(1.08 Million), ABSA(1.04 Million) and C0-operative Bank( 922,700).


    The top gainer was Sanlam which was up 9.17% to KSh 13.10. It was followed by Unga Limited which edged up 6.49% to KSh 32.00, Sasini up 5.26% to KSh 20.00, Sameer Africa which rose 3.32% to KSh 4.04 and Total whose prices increased 3.2% to KSh 24.20.


    Express Kenya was the biggest loser followed by East African Cables, Carbacid, NSE and Umeme Limited.
