Top 3 Most In-Demand Crypto Jobs in 2021

Over the last year, cryptocurrency has exploded in popularity as new investors and personalities embrace the decentralised asset. Thousands of available positions on job search portals LinkedIn, Indeed, and Monster reference “bitcoin,” “cryptocurrency,” and “blockchain.” Cryptocurrency roles are advertised by Fortune 500 firms such as JPMorgan Chase, Amazon, Apple, and PayPal.

For individuals interested in working for the crypto industry, here are the top 3 most in-demand positions:

    Chief Artificial Intelligence (AI) Engineer

A chief artificial intelligence engineer is responsible for developing and programming the algorithms that make up AI, including trading bots and cybersecurity to protect crypto exchanges. These engineers also perform technical analyses to help investors make better trading decisions and troubleshoot issues with AI technology used in the market. They need to be familiar with certain programming languages (Python is the most common) and have extensive math knowledge, including linear algebra, probability and statistics.

Artificial intelligence engineers are in charge of developing, testing and deploying AI models utilising a variety of programming techniques. Coordination with other team members, creation and management of the AI development process, and overall product infrastructure are some of the additional tasks frequently mentioned in an artificial intelligence engineer job description. They also do statistical analysis and analyse the data to help the company make decisions.

Artificial intelligence may have a significant influence on a company’s overall success. Many financial institutions are beginning to employ artificial intelligence (AI) to study user behaviours to better detect suspicious and fraudulent behaviour. AI models are being used by manufacturing companies to reimagine the supply chain, forecast maintenance difficulties, and connect with technology.

    Account Executive

The business growth and sponsorship sales of a bitcoin firm are overseen by account executives. They will update clients on market circumstances, create alliances through social media and industry events, and collect data from sales statistics and marketing efforts to help develop new goods. This position generally necessitates 3-5 years of previous account management experience and B2B sales expertise.

The sales team also includes account executives. Their main work responsibilities are to discover and sign new clients for the firm. Because they don’t generally supervise a team, they aren’t considered executives in the conventional sense. An account executive’s major activities and responsibilities include networking to find prospective clients, representing the firm on sales calls, and maintaining customer relationships.

    Senior Software Engineer

Because they create, improve, and maintain the systems that handle bitcoin transactions, software engineers play a critical role in the cryptocurrency market. Software engineers should have a bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, mathematics, or a related subject, according to most hiring employers. These people are laying the groundwork for the company’s future success.

Software engineers use engineering concepts to build software and manage network control systems. They are also familiar with a variety of programming languages and may use them to create programs. A software engineer can work on consumer-oriented software or enterprise-level systems utilised by large organisations and businesses.

Software engineers may be required to have a license in the state in which they work, although this varies per state. For more than a decade, Texas has issued software engineer licenses, but other states have no formal mechanism for licensing engineers who work on software rather than real things. The National Society of Professional Engineers offers licenses for engineers throughout the United States, allowing people working in this area to decide whether they need to take the appropriate tests and acquire a license before working in a particular state.

    Bottom Line

On July 22nd, Amazon posted a job listing for a digital currency and blockchain product lead. The firm claims it’s searching for someone with a deep grasp of the cryptocurrency ecosystem. Bitcoin and dogecoin increased by more than 14 per cent in the 24 hours following the job posting. Analysts have questioned CEOs at well-known firms about their intentions to enter the bitcoin market.
