Marriott International Inc has signed an agreement with Baraka Lodges Limited to set up a lodge within Maasai Mara National Reserve.
JW Marriott Maasai Mara Lodge will be situated at the Maasai Mara National Reserve, considered one of Africa’s most renowned wildlife spots and conservation regions.
The lodge will offer discerning travellers an unparalleled setting, with this elegant retreat expected to receive its first visitors next year.
JW Marriott Maasai Mara Lodge will offer its guests an opportunity to see the national reserve, including its splendid wildlife and plains.
The new lodge will have a presidential suite, private tents, and other ideal spaces for a family outing, each with a private terrace that faces the Mara river.
Visitors will have access to a restaurant, outdoor terrace, spa, lounge bar and fire pits to host Maasai traditional dances in the evenings.
The untamed landscape will allow guests to observe the “Big Five” that Masai Mara is home to lions, leopards, buffalos, rhinoceros and elephants.ts
The facility will also host the famed wild beast migration, which takes place between June and September when some 10 million animals cross from Mara to Serengeti in Tanzania, some 1,800 miles.

According to Shivan Patel of Barala Lodges Limited, Marriott International’s entry into the luxury lodge is the first offering in the Masai Mara.
Marriott International, at the moment, runs 120 properties in Africa across its portfolio.
JW Marriott Maasai Mara Lodge will join Marriott Bonvoy’s growing portfolio of 8,000 hotels globally.
