The annual TEDGlobal conference will be held in Arusha, Tanzania on August 27th–30th 2017.
The conference will gather technologists and entrepreneurs, business leaders and creatives to discuss the future of Africa and the world.
TED (Technology, Entertainment, Design) is a nonprofit organization devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading. Started as a four-day conference in California 30 years ago, TED has grown to support its mission with multiple initiatives. TED’s early emphasis was technology and design but it has since broadened its focus to include talks on many scientific, cultural, and academic topics.
The two annual TED Conferences invite the world’s leading thinkers and doers to speak for 18 minutes or less. Many of these talks are then made available, free, at TED.com. TED speakers have included Bill Gates, Jane Goodall, Elizabeth Gilbert, Sir Richard Branson, Nandan Nilekani, Philippe Starck, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Sal Khan and Daniel Kahneman.
This is the second time The TEDGlobal Conference will be held in Arusha Tanzania, following a similar conference in 2007.

In the north of Tanzania, Arusha nestles in the foothills of Mt.
