The weekly Mombasa Tea Auction held on the 27th and 28th April, 2020 recorded 12.3 million kilograms of tea offered for sale, compared to 10 million kilograms for the same period last year.
Of all the tea offered for sale, 10.7 million kilograms were sold compared to 9.4 million kilograms sold in the same period last year.
The auction recorded an decrease in prices, with a kilogram selling for an average of $2.08, compared to $2.12 in the previous sale, and $2.18 for the same period last year.
