The weekly Mombasa Tea Auction held on 27th, 28th, and 29th June 2022 had 13 million kilograms of tea offered for sale. The amount on offer decreased from 13.5 million kilograms during the previous sale, and from 13.6 million kilograms offered during a similar period last year.
Of all the tea offered for sale, 9.8 million kilograms were sold, compared to 9.6 million kilograms during the previous sale, and 11.9 million kilograms during the same period last year.

The tea auction recorded an increase in prices, with a kilogram selling at an average price of $2.24, compared to $2.17 during the previous sale held on 20th, 21st, and 22nd June 2022, and $1.64 fetched during the same period last year.
