The weekly Mombasa Tea Auction held on the 10th, 11th and 12th August 2020 recorded 10.5 million kilograms offered for sale. The amount on offer recorded an increase from 9 million kilograms offered for sale during the same period last year.
Of all the tea offered for sale, 9 million kilograms were sold compared to 8.3 million kilograms sold in the same period in 2019.
The tea auction sale recorded a slight increase in prices, with a kilogram selling at an average price of $1.88, compared to $1.82 for the same period last year.
