Digital lender, Tala has appointed Munyi Nthigah as Kenya’s new General Manager for Kenya effective immediately.
He takes over from Ivan Mbowa who left Tala to join Fidelity Bank Ghana.
Munyi will oversee end-to-end business growth and overall operations for Tala Kenya’s 120-person team, accelerating Tala’s position as one of Africa’s leading fintechs.
Prior to joining Tala, Munyi Nthigah founded Codesign Africa; a fintech firm focused on lending and digital payments in Kenya.
He is also a founding member of the Association of Fintechs in Kenya, where he serves as the Secretary General on the board. He has also previously served as Cellulant Kenya’s General Manager for more than 9 years.
Nthigah Munyi holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Language, Communication and Economics from the University of Nairobi, and is an alumnus of the Oxford University Fintech Programme.
