SYSPRO, a software development company providing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solutions has opened its Kenyan office which will serve as its hub for East, Central and West Africa.
The Nairobi office targets manufacturing and distribution firms: packaging, plastic and rubber, fabricated metal, food and beverage, electronics, automotive parts and accessories and industrial machinery and equipment.
Prior to this, SYSPRO had an office in South Africa which also serves as it headquarters. The new office is part of the company’s commitment to strengthen relationships with customers and business partners, and expand its operations in Africa.
The company’s Managing Director for Africa Mark Wilson noted that this step is driven by SYSPRO’s vast business growth in the region. With the opening of the new office, he says they aim to get closer to the customers. He pointed out that SYSPRO is taking the lead in providing flexible, leading-edge software specifically to meet the tailored needs of manufacturers and distributors.
SYSPRO sees great potential in Kenya terming it as the center of business, commerce, industry, and education in East and Central Africa. Prior to the opening of the Kenyan office, the company had been operating in the country the last 15 years and about 39 local companies are already using its products. Some of the notable local manufacturing firms using SYSPRO’s ERP products include; Brookside, Fresha Dairy Products, Basco Paints, Kinangop Milk, among others.
