NAIROBI, March 28, 2025 — Syntura, a UK-based technology company, has officially launched its operations in East Africa with the inauguration of the Syntura Experience Centre—the region’s first hub dedicated to AI, cybersecurity, and collaboration technologies. This state-of-the-art facility offers businesses the opportunity to explore and implement cutting-edge technologies to enhance their operations.
The exclusive launch event at Nairobi’s Capital Club East Africa gathered regional and global Syntura executives, alongside key corporate leaders, to celebrate this milestone. Earlier this year, Syntura appointed seasoned technology leader Anthony Muiyuro to spearhead the company’s African expansion.
The Syntura Experience Centre is designed to showcase advancements in workplace collaboration, artificial intelligence, and enterprise security. Featuring Microsoft’s AI Co-pilot, Teams Voice, and advanced security solutions, the centre offers businesses an immersive environment to experience AI-driven insights, seamless communication, and robust cybersecurity in action.
Serving as a platform for enterprises across various sectors, the centre enables testing and validation of advanced technology solutions in real-world settings. This hands-on approach ensures businesses can make informed technology investments that drive operational efficiencies, enhance resilience, and maintain a competitive edge.
According to the African Union’s Digital Transformation Strategy for Africa (2020-2030), Africa’s digital economy is projected to grow significantly in the coming years. The Syntura Experience Centre is poised to play a vital role in this growth by helping businesses enhance security, streamline operations, and accelerate innovation through AI-powered and cloud-enabled solutions.
Chris Evans, Syntura’s Group Managing Director, remarked, “The future of work is intelligent, secure, and seamlessly connected. Our new Experience Centre is designed to help businesses navigate this transformation by bringing AI-driven workplace innovation to life. We have mobilised significant investments in Kenya and will continue to do so, recognising the immense potential in East Africa.”
Anthony Muiyuro, Regional Director for East Africa, added, “The Syntura Experience Centre will play a pivotal role in contributing to Kenya’s AI and technology revolution, enabling firms of all sizes to innovate, experiment, and launch AI-driven solutions tailored to the region’s unique challenges. By offering a hands-on, interactive environment, Syntura empowers organisations to explore cutting-edge solutions that enhance efficiency while maintaining the highest security standards.”
The launch event featured an expert panel discussion titled “AI, Cybersecurity, and the Future of the Digital Workplace”, with industry leaders such as Brenda Mbathi (CEO, TRIFIC), Frank Molla (MD-Africa, MDP), and Moses Kemibaro (Founder & CEO, DotSavvy). The panel explored how executives can leverage technology to enhance effectiveness, agility, and cost-efficiency within their organisations.
Reflecting on the partnership, Charles Kimani, Westcon Channel Manager, stated, “Westcon-Comstor Africa takes immense pride in our strategic partnership with Syntura as their distributor. This collaboration allows us to deliver seamless, all-around solutions and personalised services that meet and exceed customer expectations.”
