Standard Chartered Bank Kenya has appointed Kellen Eileen Kariuki as an independent non-executive director in its board. Kellen has held various leadership roles including being the first Chief Executive Officer of the Unclaimed Financial Assets Authority.
She worked in different leadership roles at Citibank North Africa, the Middle East and Pakistan region. She currently serves as the Managing Director at Feruzi Holdings Limited.
Kellen has served in various boards such as; Chairperson at Citibank Tanzania, Non-executive director at AMREF flying Doctors, Non-executive director at Resolution Health, Chairperson of Citibank Kenya Provident Fund, Nominee Director of IFC and Non-executive director of Kenya Roads Board.
She has an MSc from Cranfield University, MBA and Bachelors Degree from United States International University, and is a PhD Candidate at Strathmore Business School.
