    Stanchart Kenya unveils revamped mobile digital bank

    Standard Chartered Bank Kenya has unveiled its revamped internet banking platform to offer current and potential customers exceptional online banking experience 24/7.

    The new mobile app, developed at a cost of Sh 83.4 million, will allow clients to open an accounts instantly, transact, save, borrow and access to insurance services without having to visit a branch.

    Speaking at the launch, Standard Chartered Bank Kenya Managing Director and CEO Kariuki Ngari said, “In response to growing consumer demand for innovative banking services, our clients will be able to enjoy the convenience of banking on the go, anytime and anywhere, along with a consistent online experience.”

    According to Mr. Ngari, the refreshed mobile platform reflects the bank’s strategic set goal to drive its financial operations through the deployment of cutting-edge digital technology.

    Kenya is the fifth market in Africa within the Standard Chartered network to launch the digital only retail bank alongside Cote D’vore, Ghana, Tanzania and Uganda.
