Stanbic Holdings Plc has notified shareholders that Ruth Theddesia Ngobi retired as Director from the Board during the firm’s shareholders meeting held on 19th May 2022.
Ms Ngobi joined the Company Board on 8th March 2011 as a Non-Executive Director. Over the years, the Company has greatly benefited from her experience as a seasoned lawyer and consummate corporate governance professional.
She has been highly valued for her sound counsel, contributing significantly to building a solid organization.
Ms Ngobi also served as Non-Executive Director of the Boards of SBG Securities Limited and Stanbic Bank Kenya. She was also a member of the Board Credit Committee and the Board Risk Committee.
Ms Ngobi was educated in Kenya and the UK and qualified as a lawyer in 1985. She previously worked with Unilever Kenya Limited for 15 years as Company Secretary before joining British American Tobacco Kenya in 2010.
She was also Company Secretary for BOC Kenya.
She founded Cosec solutions, providing company secretarial services and corporate governance solutions to various companies.
