South African Airways Resumes Flights to Six Destinations

South African Airways (SAA) has resumed flights to six destinations. These destinations include Accra, Lagos, Lusaka, Maputo,Windhoek and Harare. This will be effective from Tuesday, 19th November 2019.

The airline expressed their appreciation to the employees who remained to work despite receiving threats and intimidation from from the labor unions.

Philip Saunders, SAA’s Chief Commercial Officer, assured its customers that the airline’s operations are safe.

The airline will continue to work with its partner, airline Mango, and SA Airlink so as to rebook all customers travelling on domestic services. Mr Philip Saunders further apologised for the inconvenience caused to the customers.

Customers were also advised not to travel to their departure airport unless they are in possession of a re-booked itinerary.

SAA is the state-owned flag carrier of South Africa. Its headquarters are in Airways Park at O.R Tambo International Airport. The airline links over 40 local and international destinations across Africa, Asia, Europe, North America, South America, and Oceania from its base at Johannesburg International Airport.
