South African Airways (SAA) has cancelled a number of their domestic and international flights, as the carrier struggles to remain in business.
In a statement the debt-laden national carrier said the decision was part of what it sees as a strategy to conserve cash and optimise its position ahead of further capital investment.
The national carrier, which was placed in bankruptcy protection last month, is waiting for the government to fulfil a pledge to provide it with a $139 million financial muscle that will enable it to keep flying.
