SOMO to host a trade exhibition.

SOMO, a non-profit organisation which provides training, capital, mentorship, and market access to local entrepreneurs, will host its first trade exhibition on 17 August 2019. The exhibition will be at the Alchemist starting from 10 am.

The event will feature a display of products from Social Entrepreneurs from all over Kenya. At the same time, SOMO will roll out applications for its exclusive three-month business skills boot camp.

The event will include a networking session for young entrepreneurs and entertainment for adults and children. Anto Neosoul, a local vocalist and other upcoming artists, will perform at the event. Also, the exhibition will offer a supervised kid’s area for arts and crafts.

The first-ever SOMO day will help attendants partake in SOMO’s mission to drive social change by buying affordable products from local social enterprises.

SOMO mainly provides help to local entrepreneurs in informal settlements. According to the organization’s website, SOMO has helped launch 44 businesses and created 207 jobs.
