A Singapore firm, Mas Holdings Singapore Ltd, has been granted permission by Export Processing Zones Authority (EPZA) to open a clothes manufacturing factory in Athi River.
The firm will invest up to a total of Sh1.1 billion with approximately 440 million channelled to the purchase of machinery from outside the country. It will export several products to the US and Europe and 3,000 jobs are expected to be created from the venture.
