Sicuro Group Acquires Kenyan Risk Management Firm John Andrews

Global risk management consultancy Sicuro Group has acquired Kenyan risk management firm John Andrews Risk Management (JARM), and renamed it Sicuro Group East Africa.

    • •In a statement, Sicuro Group said JARM CEO John Musundi will lead the new unit, while JARM Operations Manager Sheila Kamande will serve as Chief Operations Officer.
    • •The unit will provide security services such as executive protection, journey management, intelligence services, corporate investigations, and brand protection.
    • •The acquisition gives Sicuro Group a foothold in Kenya and East Africa, with the new unit’s sphere including 16 countries across the region.

“This acquisition represents a significant milestone in our growth strategy,” said Scott Wilcox, Founder of Sicuro Group, “By combining our global resources with JARM’s regional expertise, we’re creating a holistic, and tech-enabled risk management service uniquely positioned to address East Africa’s specific needs.”

According to Sicuro Group, the deal gives the new East Africa unit access to its 24/7 Global Security Operations Center in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), supported by a regional 24/7 Kenyan assistance centre. The firms serve a similar clientele, particularly in sectors such as oil and gas, mining, technology, pharmaceuticals, finance, and professional services.

“Joining forces significantly enhances our service capabilities and geographic reach. Our clients will benefit from seamless access to round-the-clock support, advanced technology solutions, and the resources of a global security leader while maintaining the local expertise that has been our hallmark,” Musundi said.

Headquartered in Dubai, Sicuro Group was founded in 2005 while JARM was founded in Nairobi in 2013. The two firms did not disclose the value of the acquisition.
