Sendy Unveils new electric delivery vans built by Meta Electric

Sendy Ltd, a leading tech enabled logistics start-up has taken delivery of its first electric-powered vans from META Electric, an electric vehicle dealer and leaser.

The two companies announced that they have teamed up to introduce and safeguard small businesses from expensive logistics and reduce their carbon footprint.

Through this partnership, Sendy says it will expand its inventory of four-wheel delivery vans available to its clients on its digitized platform, at a lower cost and in a cleaner environment, at a time when customer demand for shipments of freight weighing more than 500 kilograms is surging.

Sendy is expanding its transportation logistics capabilities to four-wheel vehicles from two-wheel vehicles in order to exploit new market opportunities in urban logistics in more cost-effective and environmentally friendly ways.

The BYD T3 Electric vans are manufactured by Build Your Dreams (BYD), the automotive subsidiary of the Chinese multinational BYD Co Ltd.

The vans come with an AC charger that charges up the van in 8 hours and an optional DC charger that charges in just 1.5 hours with the ability to do 300km on a full charge or 250km when carrying a full load.
