    Sanlam CEO Mugo Kibati Resigns

    Non-bank financial services provider Sanlam Kenya Chief Executive Mugo Kibati has resigned, effective 01st March, the company said on Friday.

    Kibati “resigned” to pursue other opportunities and the firm’s General Insurance head George Kuria takes charge in acting capacity.

    Mugo Kibati was appointed at the helm of Sanlam in February 2015 and took over from Tom Gitogo who was appointed CIC Insurance CEO.

    Kibati has previously held a number of positions including; Kenya Vision 2030 Director General, Electrical Engineer at Bamburi Cement, Technical Marketing Manager at Lucent Technologies in the United States and CEO of East African Cables.
