Nairobi-headquartered blockchain community Sankore has announced the launch of its second edition of pitch competition targeting startups building solutions in the blockchain space.
According to Sankore, the main objective of the pitch competition is to scout for innovative technology projects and ideas that need funding and incubation. Sankore then teams up with leading Venture partners to support projects that will emerge top of the competition.

Those expected to attend the physical event include fintech professionals, accountants, bankers and policy makers at both local and national level and other key players in the blockchain and crypto space. Interested startups can sign up to attend and pitch physically in the event that will take place on Saturday, 14th May 2022, from 3 PM to 6 PM East African Time.
“10 qualifying groups will present their projects on the 14th of May 2022. However, only 3 projects will qualify for seed funding and incubation. Sankore will provide seed funding of up to USD 40,000 and incubation of up to 3 months for the three qualifying projects” The company announced.
The last pitch competition was held earlier this year in one of Nairobi’s leading tech spaces iHub, and was overwhelmingly attended by like-minded Kenyans with an interest in blockchain and technology. Three out of ten blockchain projects qualified for funding and incubation, and are currently being nurtured.
