Sameer Africa PLC has appointed Mr. Peter Gitonga as an acting Managing Director, with effect from 28th August 2019.
Having previously served in various capacities at senior management level in the same organization, Peter Gitonga holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration, and a Master of Science in Strategic Management from the United States International University (USIU).
Peter is a member of the nominations and remuneration and the finance and investment committee of the board of directors, where he is a non-executive member.
Mr. Gitonga takes over from Mr. Simon Gachomo, who recently resigned.
The company’s principal business is the importation and sale of tyres and allied products, and the letting of investment property.
It operates primarily in Kenya, with tyre operations in Tanzania, Uganda and Burundi.
