Domestic carrier Safarilink has announced plans to resume flights to Kitale with effect from 21st April 2022.
The carrier will deploy a Dash 8-100 type of aircraft on the route flying five times a week. Passengers heading to Kitale from Nairobi will pay KSh6,500 on a one-way ticket,
The airline suspended flights to Kitale in early 2020 following the renovation of the airport, seeking to expand the runway to accommodate larger aircrafts.
Safarilink Aviation Limited is a regional airline based at Wilson Airport in Nairobi. It flies to major tourist destinations of Maasai Mara, Amboseli, Lewa Downs, Samburu, Lamu and Kilimanjaro, among other routes. It also provides charter flight services across the East African region.
As of 2020, the Safarilink Aviation fleet consisted of the 14 aircraft.
In September 2019, Safarilink Aviation became a member of the African Airlines Association (AFRAA).
