Safaricom’s top representatives are set to visit Singapore and Hong Kong to discuss the telecommunications sector and the company’s business strategy.
As per a statement issued by the emerging markets investment bank, Exotix Capital, the trip is a non-deal roadshow.
Safaricom is one of the most successful companies in Africa. Its M-Pesa mobile money facility is ranked among the best non-bank financial platforms in the emerging markets.
Exotix Capital explains how big the Telco is, “ …in 2017 MTN had 22 million active customers in 15 countries. Safaricom had 20.5 million in just one.”
Executives who will be on the roadshow include the company’s Chief Financial Officer, Sateesh Kamath, and the Heads of Investor Relations Cyndia Nguli and Ilanna Darcy. The officials will hold meetings with Emerging Markets’ investors and other stakeholders in the telecommunications industry.
The event will take place between 27 February and 1 March.
