The Co-operative Alliance of Kenya(CAK) has assembled a team of experts to guide SACCOs in cybercrime risks and taxation issues.
This training session on Taxation, Cyber-crime risks and prevention, will be held at Maanzoni Lodge, Machakos, from 14th to 17th of September 2021.
SACCOs top management targeted by the training
It targets Board Members, Audit Committee/Supervisory Committee, Chief Executive Officers, Executive Committee, Internal Auditors, Senior Managers, Accountants, and IT and Risk Officers.
According to Daniel Marube, CAK Executive Director training on cyber security risks will be helpful for societiesen dealing with attacks.
PwC will conduct the training sessions to cover various topics that will equip societies to deal with fraud as well as accounting and taxation issues in the light of the 2021 Finance Bill, Accounting for taxes in credit societies books, Introduction to taxation, Overview of the Kenyan Tax Regime, Tax changes in Kenya, Tax Planning and Legal framework on taxation of Saccos.
Marube said that while societies are becoming more extensive and more complex, the web of tax rules must align with their overall business needs while meeting compliance obligations.
