Rwanda's CityBlue Hotels' acquires Best Western Creekside, Mombasa

Rwanda’s City Blue Hotels has announced the takeover of the landmark Best Western Creekside hotel at Tudor Point in Mombasa.

The acquisition is part of the hotel’s regional expansion strategy that aims to grow CityBlue Hotels network into three other countries across the continent before the end of the year.

City Blue Group CEO Jameel Verjee says he is confident that the new investment will pay off in the long run. He says in the last three weeks alone, they’ve recorded a record five year occupancy.

Founded in January 2013, City Blue Hotels targets Africa middle class & business travelers to the region.

CityBlue Hotels also recently opened a 76 room luxury hotel in Rwanda’s Eastern district of Nyagatare near the Akagera National park and Uganda border. This move made CityBlue Hotels Rwanda’s biggest hotel group with three, including two in Kigali.
