Press Release; The Fourth Industrial Revolution Favors Africa

The 4th Industrial Revolution is upon us and will consist of emerging, trending and disruptive technologies like Blockchain, internet of things (IoT), Artificial intelligence (AI), Nano Technology, Quantum computing, 3D printing Biotechnology, Autonomous vehicles and 5G technologies.

These technologies are on course to change the world order; they are time-sensitive and are evolving exponentially. They will inevitably overtake the traditional administration and operating systems between now and the next 2-3 years with it comes apprehension, fear and alarm for developed countries who are still finding ways to go around it.

“The new age is differentiated by the speed of technological breakthroughs, the pervasiveness of scope and the tremendous impact of new systems,” says Professor Klaus Schwab, Founder and Executive Chairman of the World Economic Forum and author of The Fourth Industrial Revolution

Africa will ‘leapfrog’ at implementing and making use of these technologies owing to the fact that there are no set legal systems, unlike the developed nations that will, in particular, sustain enormous costs to replace older systems hence leading to slower adoption.

These technologies will not be a disruptive force for Africa but a blessing for our continent.

Swift Robotics in conjunction with a range of experts from all over the world will in this case host an Industrial Revolution Favors Africa on the 26th of October at Radisson Blu targeting policy makers, industry players and key decision makers to provide a guideline for the implementation of the new and emerging technologies. Those who attend the conference will learn from experts who have already implemented the technologies as well as having a better view and understanding of how to go about it

The conference will be followed by a Walk the Talk Conference on 29th and 30th October detailing on introduction, implementation, integration and solutions from the experts, whereby participants will be issued a certificate by the University of Nairobi.
