Post Bank Kenya Names New MD

The board of Post Bank has appointed Raphael Lekolool as managing director effective June 1, 2020. Mr. Lekolool takeover from Ms. Anne Karanja who completed her six-year tenure.

Mr. Lekolool takes over at a time when Post Bank is pursuing market growth through investment in digital platforms. The lender intends to exploit technology to bring most of the financial transactions online in a bid to retain its huge customer base.

Post Bank is betting on Lekolool’s expertise in banking, microfinance, and insurance sectors to drive the business by diversifying the product offering. In addition, his previous stints as Enterprise Risk Manager at UAP, Old Mutual, and Head of Internal Audit at Faulu Microfinance will come in handy.

He is an MBA graduate of Cardiff Business School and holds a BSc. Degree in Banking from University of Manchester.
