Pinterest, on Friday filed its paperwork with the US Securities and Exchange Commission for an Initial Public Offering (IPO), seeking to be listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the initials PINS.
It joins ride-hailing giants Uber and Lyft, and hotel and short-term home rental service Airbnb and Slack which have also announced intentions to be listed.
In 2018, the company earned more than $750 million in revenue and reduced its losses from approximately $200 million in 2016 down to just under $75 million annually.
